Our team is made up of one part time operational manager, one part time project manager, one part time bicycle mechanic, and one apprentice mechanic. The team is further supported by seven super dedicated volunteer ride leaders, and three volunteer directors with functional business responsibilities.

Hub + Spoke first opened its doors in May 2011. Established in partnership with Essex County Council and Harlow District Council. Hub + Spoke was set up to promote cycling in and around Harlow, and to deliver training and education within the local community.

As a not for profit Community Interest Company, any profit made by Hub + Spoke is reinvested back into the community in which we serve.

Here are just a few of the things we have delivered over the last four years:

Over 450 led rides in and around Harlow, with adults and children of all ages and all abilities;

More than 200 bicycles recycled and resold back into the community as low cost transport;

200 adults and children trained in basic bicycle maintenance;

2 apprentice bicycle mechanics fully trained and ready to fly the nest;

50 local volunteers trained as ride leaders, or in other organisational roles;

1000’s of local bicycles repaired and maintained.

So, why not join us on one of our free, weekly led rides, or come and learn how to keep your bicycle running smoothly at one of our maintenance classes? No bike? No problem! You can borrow one of ours, or you can buy a new or recycled bicycle from our shop. You see, it doesn’t matter what bike you ride, or why you ride it, we can help you get more from your cycling. We can offer advice on what to ride, where to ride and even teach you how to ride…so what are you waiting for, get in touch…

Yours sincerely,
